After an election, how do you follow what your legislators are doing? Newspapers and other media outlets usually tell what has already happened, but you can focus on your representatives and the laws they make at every stage, right from your own computer. Indiana University Maurer School of Law Professor Jody Madeira will demonstrate how citizens can monitor the activities of their legislators using online sources, committee reports, bill tracking and much more. Get up to speed so you don’t have to play catch up! This session is part of the Be a Voter project; consider attending this and our first session on the state legislature, “How the Legislature Really Works and What They Didn’t Teach You in Civics Class" on November 12th. Drop in. |
