Making Your Own Show

Channel 3 Channel 7 Channel 12 Channel 14 Channel 96

Programs on Channel 3 are produced by Monroe County residents, just like you! It is actually quite simple to make a show for CATS.

We provide you with all the equipment and training necessary to make your own show. You must have a library card to borrow any equipment.

You can make a show about anything you want!

The first step to making a show for CATS is filling out a Program Proposal. You can pick one of these up at CATS' front desk. The proposal only asks for general information about your show.

Turn your Proposal in to the CATS front desk.

Program Proposals are reviewed on Tuesdays, so you can call CATS after Wednesday to find out if it has been approved. Most proposals are approved, so don't worry.

Once your Proposal is approved, you may call the Assistant Manager to set up camera or edit training. You're now on your way!

Once you have completed your program, you turn it in to the BCAT front desk with a completed "Post Production Form." Within a month your program will be played on Channel 3!

If you have any further questions, see our FAQL on Program Proposals.
